Eligibility & restrictions
Aged in principle between 18 and 30 (calculated as of September 1 of the enrollment year), in good health, with education equivalent to Chinese high school graduation or above. Non-Chinese citizen, meeting the requirements of the Ministry of Education notice Jiaowaihan [2020] No. 12 and related regulations [2020] no disciplinary violations, public security penalties, or criminal acts or records [2020] friendly to China, of good conduct, observing Chinese laws and university rules and regulations, and respecting Chinese customs. Applicants under 18 as of June 1, 2026 must provide a Guardian Guarantee Letter for Stay in China (the guardian must be a Chinese citizen or foreigner with financial resources living in Beijing). applicants with one or both parents being Chinese citizens must provide proof of foreign nationality obtained at birth or later, proof of the parents' nationality or household registration, and the corresponding foreign permanent residence certificate or the applicant's proof of renunciation of Chinese nationality.
