Eligibility & restrictions
guardian guarantee letter for applicants under 18 Non-Chinese citizen, in good physical and mental health, with education equivalent to Chinese high school graduation or above, no more than 25 years old. Applicants under 18 must provide a guardian guarantee letter if the parents are not in China, they must entrust a foreigner or Chinese citizen residing in China as guardian. Immigrants from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan who have acquired foreign nationality, and persons who obtained foreign nationality at birth with one or both parents being Chinese citizens settled abroad, must meet the requirements of Jiaowaihan [2020] No. 12.
