Material notes
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid passport. Former Chinese citizens who later acquired foreign nationality must comply with Ministry of Education Document No. 12 (2020). Applicants must hold a high-school diploma and normally be 18-25 years old. Anyone under 18 on September 1, 2026 must submit an original guardian certificate issued by a Tianjin district notary office, and the guardian must be a permanent Tianjin resident. Applicants must also be of good conduct, be physically and mentally healthy, and comply with Chinese law and Tianjin University regulations. Applicants to the School of International Education who submit HSK Level 4 with a score of 180 or above are exempt from the CSCA Chinese for Arts test.
